The territory

If you think about Sauze d'Oulx, the first thing that comes to your mind is the Vialattea ski area, which starts right from this village in the upper Susa Valley and stretches to the southwest to the Montgenevre French area.

A vast area that in winter is a paradise for skiers, ski mountaineers and snowshoers, with itineraries of every difficulty suitable even for the less experienced. When the snow falls, the Valle di Susa becomes the background for relaxing walks, especially on the southern side, or more challenging at altitude, simple mountain bike trails along historic dirt roads or breathtaking descents on special tracks.

The Vialattea is the largest ski area in the Western Alps. Its ski lifts wind through the territory of six Italian and one French towns and comprise seven closely interconnected ski areas in a single "carousel": Sauze d'Oulx, Sestriere, Pragelato, Sansicario, Cesana Monti della Luna, Clavière, Montgenèvre.
This area that hosted the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, receiving the widest consensus in the world for the beauty of the places and the variety and technical characteristics of the slopes.
